At City of Vision, we believe in empowering our community with the knowledge that fosters the well-being of our littlest members. Recently, Dr. Harrison and Dr. Flores had the privilege of visiting New Futures High School to engage with eager young parents seeking insights into the development of their babies’ eyes.
The comprehensive presentation covered essential aspects of pediatric eye care, from normal vision development to the intricacies of a pediatric eye exam. Our focus extended to genetics, environmental factors influencing refractive errors, and the various types of refractive errors that may impact young eyes. We further explored important topics like myopia control and the potential effects of extended usage of digital devices such as tablets can have on vision.
The opportunity to connect with lifelong learners at New Futures High School was an honor for our team. Children’s eye care is not just a responsibility; it’s an investment in their success in school and beyond.
